At Epikos Church, the gospel of Jesus Christ is central to all that we are. We preach the gospel in worship, we seek to share the gospel with others, and we desire to live lives transformed by the gospel.

So what is the gospel? It’s the Good News that though we are sinful, God loved us so much that He sent His Son Jesus Christ to die and take on our debt of sin. Our sin (a little lie, greed, lust, murder, etc.) left us with a penalty of eternal separation from God, known as Hell. By placing our faith in the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ, we have new life here on earth and the promised eternal life with God. This free gift is given because of God’s goodness towards us, not because of anything that we have done or earned. The gospel not only saves us, it transforms everything. If you’ve never surrendered your life to Christ and accepted his forgiveness you can do that now, simply call out to God in prayer and turn your life to Him! If you have placed your faith in Christ, rejoice in this amazing grace.

To grow in faith, we encourage you to you to regularly read the Bible and pray. When reading the Bible, ask God to open your heart and mind to what He has to say to you. The verses listed below summarize aspects of the gospel and are a good place to start. Continue by reading the gospel accounts of Jesus life, teachings, and ministry found in the Bible in the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

We also encourage you to regularly attend a church that focuses on the gospel and begin to form friendships and relationships with others in the church.
