With every search for a new staff member here at epikos, we hold a value of patiently waiting with eagerness for whom the Lord is going to bring our way. After eight months of praying, waiting, and searching, we are excited to announce our new Student Ministries Pastor, Frank Gil!
Frank grew up in a Cuban home in Tampa, FL. As he describes it, “We had big birthday parties and ate rice and beans with every meal.” He gave his life to Christ at 17 while on a mission trip to the Bahamas. Following a knee injury playing college football, he knew God’s call on his life to be a pastor. He has served in two churches over the past six years, most recently in Conway, AR. Frank and his wife, Cori, have been married for seven years. She spent her early years in Buffalo, NY before moving to Tampa in middle school. Above all of Frank’s experience, national youth ministry connections, and passion for teenagers to know Jesus, he and Cori fit epikos because of their passion for the Gospel, authenticity, and integrity.
We have two opportunities to connect with Frank:
- If you are a middle school or high school student, the parent of a student, or are interested in serving in the Student Ministry, please fill out this interest form.
- Parents of students, mark your calendars for Sunday, October 18th! Following the 10:30a service, Frank will meet with you in the Student Wing at West Allis to communicate the purpose and vision for Student Ministry over this school year.
If you can’t already tell from the picture, it’s hard to miss Frank! So introduce yourself to him and let him know how excited we are to have him and Cori with us.
