When Gospel Transformation Ignites Outreach

So often world mission and community outreach end up being a "tactic" or an "obligation" instead of being an outflow of what Christ has done in our life. At Epikos church we desire to foster an environment where we are so transformed by the gospel we can't help but share Christ's love in word and deed. Below are some ways for you to allow the gospel to spill over into other's lives.

Short term Serving: Guatemala

Guatemala is rich in natural beauty - from the shores of Lake Atitlan, to the peaks of its 37 volcanoes, this Central American nation is one of the most beautiful in the world. Behind all this beauty lies the lingering pain of a 36-year civil war and several devastating natural disasters. These tragedies have left many Guatemalan people in extreme poverty, but the Guatemalan people take pride in their hospitality and warmly welcome visitors as long-lost friends. Be touched by the beauty of the people. Get a first-hand glimpse of their joy in spite of their meager resources. Find your own heart changed. If you have an interest in serving the people of Guatemala, please contact Kirsten at for more information.

UPDATE: Next opportunity is August 2nd-9th 2014. Deadline is April 25th to join.

Seeking Missions Support

Epikos desires to be a church that is advancing the gospel in Milwaukee but also the to the "ends of the earth" (Acts 1:8). As such, we want to provide opportunities for people to serve here in Milwaukee but also be part of sending people to do God's work all over the world. If you are raising support for short term or long term missions, please go to the link below and tell us more about your vision and the work you will be doing. Please plan on giving us at least 4-6 weeks to get back to you.

This is for people seeking support for any mission trip that is one year or less that is either cross cultural or outside of our local community.
