Hello my name is Danny,

I had the privilege of growing up in a loving family in the small town of Waupaca, WI. My parents took me to church and worked hard to raise me as a "good boy." By the time I was in high school though, I strayed from their guidance and looked for fulfillment in partying, drinking, drugs, relationships, success anything but God. But, thankfully at the end of my first semester as a freshman at UW-Oshkosh, the Lord grabbed a hold of my life and set me on an amazing journey following Him. God also brought together a group of students traveling on the same spiritual journey. We witnessed God work through us and in us. We were a dynamic Christian community. Before long, God began to stir a dream in me and others to start a church that would reach out to our generation.

In January, 2004, after finishing college and going on to earn my Master? degree from Bethel Theological Seminary, my wife Emili and I moved to Milwaukee. We began the process of planting a church (later to be named epikos) on the city's eclectic East Side and officially launched in January of 2005. Since that time, we have grown in number, in genuine relationship with one another and most importantly, in our faith. We firmly believe that the local church is the hope of the world and we always want to be sure that epikos along with other churches in Milwaukee take seriously the power of gospel and its ability to change lives and in turn, change an entire city!
